Why does Windows SmartScreen show "Unknown Publisher"?
Microsoft Defender SmartScreen uses cloud reputation heuristics. When a new binary release is published, it takes a short period of community adoption for Microsoft's automated trust systems to register the new file hash. You can verify the integrity of the downloaded file against our published SHA-256 Checksum and 0/70 clean VirusTotal report.
Why is my download showing only 1 connection instead of 64?
Some legacy web servers or cloud CDNs do not support HTTP Range requests (RFC 7233). If a server returns Accept-Ranges: none or fails to respond with HTTP 206 Partial Content, NeXDM safely falls back to a robust single-stream connection to prevent file corruption.
Browser Extension says "Disconnected from Native Host"
Ensure the NeXDM desktop application is running. If you recently updated your browser, relaunch the NeXDM desktop client once to re-register the Windows registry native messaging host manifest (HKCU\Software\Google\Chrome\NativeMessagingHosts\in.nexdm.bridge).
