Fix Download Manager Not Catching Downloads in Chrome

If clicking download links in Chrome or Microsoft Edge still triggers the native browser downloader instead of your download manager, follow these proven troubleshooting solutions.
1. Relaunch Desktop App to Re-Register Native Messaging Host
Chrome uses a registry key to locate the native messaging executable. If you recently updated your browser or Windows, close and reopen NeXDM once with administrator permissions to verify the registry path is current.
2. Check Extension File Types List
Open the NeXDM extension popup in Chrome and verify that the file extension you are trying to download (e.g., ZIP, ISO, EXE, MP4, MKV, 7Z) is included in the auto-capture file list.
3. Use Right-Click "Download with NeXDM"
For dynamic JavaScript buttons or blob URLs, right-click the download link and select "Download with NeXDM" from the context menu.
