1. Zero Data Collection Philosophy
NeXDM operates under a strict Zero Data Collection standard. We do not collect, store, profile, or transmit your personal data, IP address, download history, or browsing activity to any external server.
All metadata processed by NeXDM remains 100% local on your PC.
2. Browser Extension Permissions
Our Chrome, Edge, and Firefox companion extensions require only minimal permissions strictly necessary to catch downloads:
- nativeMessaging: Communicates exclusively with the local NeXDM desktop app on your machine via standard IPC.
- downloads: Detects and hands off browser download tasks directly to the 64-segment engine.
- contextMenus: Enables the right-click "Download with NeXDM" option on media and files.
3. 100% Local Processing & Zero Telemetry
All network aggregation, segment stitching, and file management happen entirely inside your computer's memory and local disk. NeXDM contains zero advertising SDKs, zero user tracking beacons, and zero telemetry analytics.
